John Laurie is a photographer whose work stretches across portraiture, landscape and observational still life. He strives to capture the authentic and the everyday, seeking to honour and glorify the ordinary and often-overlooked moments.

John’s work is characterised by his ability to create a strong sense of place, an underlying narrative and of a sense of moments happening beyond the frame. His work has taken him anywhere and beyond, from the remote islands of Indonesia’s Raja Ampat to the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne where he resides.

John is an accomplished Commercial Photographer & Director. John’s strong ability to direct talent and choreograph a scene to make the images and motion feel rich and grounded in authenticity and the moment has seen him create campaigns for large global brands working with a range of large international, local clients and advertising agencies to help bring branding visions to life.
